Aplomado Falcon in urban area. These two possible females were hunting a pigeon in the air in downtown Sorocaba (600.000 inhabitants), I was lucky enough to see through my apartment in the ninth floor these two beauty hunt and eat a (most likely) Picazuro Pigeon.
I was glad to see they're doing fine here in SE Brazil, considering the problems this species face in other parts of the continent. This particular picture shows how deep into the city they were, notice the blurred YMCA sign in the building behind them.
